Today was a rainy, quiet day but pretty nice nonetheless. My parents came over in the morning and took Tanya to the playground and then nap to give Bear and I a free morning.

We rearranged the living room to make it roomier. We have a play yard but Tanya really doesn't like to be in it by herself. So we opened it and put it as a long gate closer to Bear's workout area/computer table to prevent her from getting into wires and weights. And we put up the gate leading into kitchen/bathroom/bedroom area. Lately she would just crawl really fast to get to the bedroom. So now the living room looks bigger and is more baby proof.

Bear also played with Tanya a lot so I could watch some 'Agents of Shield' and read. I was reading the book about Romanov sisters that I got for my birthday and the second Gromyko book. I really needed this time to myself.

I've been going to the playground a lot more lately. I think I've reached a critical level on Friday where I'm getting to know other regulars and I interact more with other caretakers/parents there. Tanya gets to play with other babies more, which she loves and I get to talk to adults. It's nice.

Yesterday, of course, was a great day. I checked my phone about 10 30 as we were leaving the playground to see if there was Supreme Court news and it was up! I got so, so happy when I read it. Yay, marriage equality. I am not usually very emotional (although this year I'm much more emotional because of nursing) and I can count on my fingers the times I felt pure happiness and elation but yesterday I was so happy to hear. It just felt momentous and wonderful. I was just filled with joy. I'm so happy for the people who can now fulfill their dreams.
