Sep. 20th, 2010 10:08 pmExercise in the morning - crunches, Bear’s invisible chair/wall exercise and 15 minutes on the machine. Plus 35 squats and 6 pathetic push ups (I’ve always been horrible at push-ups, I know I just need to practice). My legs are feeling it and that is nice. This semester I’m going to try to exercise more, I’ve been sitting too much.
A Sci-fi books syllabus – really cool. I haven’t read all the books on the list but it is a fun list to refer to. Of course, it can’t have everything on it, as the comments bitch at books left out – it is good not look at the comments actually. But it is a fun list. I think I read half of it.
I got October issue of National Geographic today, and it was all messed up. p.43-52 were upside down, and instead of p89-108 I got double of 109-118. Someone didn’t align the quires right. I called them and they will mail me a new copy. The issue did come with a big map of Gulf of Mexico and the Oil Spill. I’m actually looking forward to understanding more about that.
It is TV premiere week – one of my favorite weeks of the year! I love my tv.
House S7E1. Ah, House. How I missed you. I wished the whole episode was just House and Cuddy. The rest of the episode was just distraction. I like how normal and quiet it was with them and how they actually talk about the issues. And both still uncertain about the relationship and House tries to be honest about that even if it hurts but they will try it. House’ ‘I love you’ was just wonderful. And they know each other so well. And they were sexy. For 8pm it was a bit risqué of the show to go to that detail, not that I mind in the least. I’m glad they started where finale left off. And House got to be happy at least for a bit before he lets his fears get to him. I love his expression when he broke the champagne bottle. And them joking in the bath. The joke about thinking about Wilson during sex was great. Wilson getting stuck in a window – nice and silly. Don’t care about Thirteen. I’m not sorry to see her go. I’m glad she turned Chase down. I love Cuddy’s assistant. He was great. He wouldn’t be manipulated by Chase. This episode was quieter than I thought it would be but it was lovely. The only thing I miss in the new opening credits (Finally!) is the shot of the hospital.
