bearshorty“Joyeux Noel” It is hard to actually imagine that many boys were so happy for WWI to start. I know the history of it, of course, and how war and expectations of war changed in WWI, but still. The French, English and German children with the cruel patriotic poetry at the start of the movie was properly jarring. It is such a lovely movie. I loved that it was in three languages and the characters were so lovely drawn. A wonderful movie.
