bearshortyI went rollerblading again today. I’m glad the heat came down a bit so that I can do this. At least here, unlike in Minsk or Russia, we have air conditioning. I can’t imagine how they are coping with such unusual for them heat.
Two Highlander episodes tonight - “Vendetta” “They Also Serve”
While “They Also Serve” is a clipshow, the inside look at the watchers was really nice and the clips were spaced well enough that I didn’t get bored of them. I like when Ian and Joe are arguing about caring and involvement and Mac comes in. The awkward look on Joe’s face is priceless. Watcher poker game was the best part of this episode. Mac really gets involved with every female immortal. It does get a bit ridiculous. At least she could take care of herself.
“Vendetta” was an ok episodes, with some humor but it wasn’t that impressive.
True Blood S3E8 This season is so good. I knew Eric would kill Talbot as soon as Russell told Talbot that he was most important to him. Eric with no clothes and gay sex was a bonus. Well, at least Talbot got to have some fun before death. Sookie and Bill’s rough sex at the end was an interesting development but I hope their break up would stick by the end of the season. Tara’s is a really cool character. And calling Sookie out for being dumb was great. I like the pace and the time for the characters to breathe in this episode – even if lots happened and there was lots of blood and fighting still. Debbie and Sookie fight was cool. Debbie is much more interesting here than in the books, in the books she is just nasty – here, she is three-dimensional. Seeing Renee was unexpected. Jessica and Bill scenes are so nice. They both break-up with people they love because they must and can be sad together. The postmortems at the end of the episodes are so much fun – a commercial for vampires against a werewolf attack.
