Neil Gaiman’s “Snow, Glass, Apples” another look at a Snow White story is awesome. The stepmother is not a monster here, she was protecting the kingdom from the real monster – a vampire type little girl.

I also learned that there are stories of Gaiman I don’t like. Especially those set in Lovecraft universe or alluding to it. Mostly because nothing happens. (I did like Sherlock Holmes meets Lovecraft story because it was very clever, but that is an exceptions.) This story even had a werewolf in it and I was bored a few pages in and I didn’t want to make myself read it. So I’m skipping it.

SYTYCD 1 out 10 goes home. I’m a bit shocked really that the judges eliminated Christina. I thought they would kick off Robert to balance girl/boy ratio – and they acknowledged that thought process while still not caring about it. Nigel wanted to eliminate Melinda but Mia and Adam disagreed. I thought for sure Melinda would go home if Robert stayed. And last night Christina did great too. I liked that at least for the stupid song performance of the evening they had All-Star back-up dancers; it never hurts to have shirtless Mark, Ade and bare-armed Neil and a bit of Courtney and Mark. The opening number by Sonya was really cool. The robot dance was nice too. Overall, we won’t have girls left soon – just three left to six guys.

Watched the next two episodes of “Highlander” to realize two things – 1. The show is very 90s in style and pacing and storytelling and 2. This was a second episode with 21 Jump street alumni. I’m wondering how many stars of the 90s I’ll get to see.
