Apr. 29th, 2010 11:00 pmTime Magazine 100 most influential people . Very interesting read (of the stories of these people, not just the names; also note who wrote each piece. And, of course, Sarah Palin would be the one to write about Glen Beck and it is really funny to read. Hillary Clinton wrote for Nancy Pelosi. Bono wrote about Bill Clinton. Joss wrote for Neil Patrick Harris. ) I was happy to see many women represented. And It was interesting to learn about many international figures.
My grandfather is getting a new medal – 65 anniversary of WWII, or "65 Years of Victory in Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945" since he was in the Soviet army just at the end of the war. He was 14 when the war came to Soviet Union and only got into the army by the end of the war. He didn’t get to see fighting really, but he spent seven years in the army after the war. His older brother, David, fought in the war and died in battle in 1943.
Bones S5E19. Rock fantasy camp episode. Bones is jealous but still views the working relationship as most important to her so she feels the need to just discuss Booth’s ‘social contract’ with a new woman. A cute episode.
Hamlet is snarky. I don’t think I’ve ever saw that. But then again the only live “Hamlet” production I’ve seen was a pretty terrible one in London by off off West End people. Hamlet and other Shakespeare is definitely much more interesting watching the actors perform than reading it. I’ve always loved the actual performances, particularly in England (with some exceptions like that ‘Hamlet’). Seeing Laertes and Ophelia roll their eyes at Polonius’ advice is really funny. I do like the modern dress. I’m just watching this in pieces. Here is a link to PBS online version .
