The Doctor (Ten) and Captain Picard are in “Hamlet” on PBS tonight (it will be available on PBS website where I will watch it). PBS does rock in their programming.
“An Education” Watching this movie from a 29 year old perspective is really discomforting. She is 16 and he is much older so it all comes off as very creepy (although I know they are within laws of consent in England). And I know it won’t end well. It is a really good movie about growing up and realizing you really don’t know anything at all and why an education really matters and what education is. An education on what really matters in life. Roger Ebert did a wonderful review of it. Finally a movie with great reviews that I actually really enjoyed.
I rewatched “Girl in the Fireplace.” I adore that episode. Great play with time, a Stephen Moffat specialty. Definitely a highlight of Doctor Who Season 2. I love that Netflix has all these episodes online.
