1 Can you remember your first friend?

My best friend Sveta. She was born in January and I was born in June and she lived in a neighboring building. Our Moms were friends so we were friends since I was born. We were also in the same day care when we were five and the same class in school from 1st to 4th grade until I transferred to a math school. We were best friends until I left for US at almost 13 years old. She is still the only person I text/talk with in Belarus other than my relatives. She owns a clothing firm now in Belarus and has an almost 14 year old daughter.

2 What film would you like to see reimagined by The Muppets?
I don't think I have any desire to see a film reimagined by the Muppets. Maybe some serious movie that could use the silliness?

3 Would you rather be a badger or a cow?
Badger

4 If you had to change your name what would you call yourself?
I like my name so I would just like to keep it. If I had to, maybe Sarah Dashwood. I like the name Sarah and Dashwood would be for Elinor Dashwood from Sense and Sensibility.

5 Would you rather live under a sky with no stars at night or live under a sky with no clouds during the day?
I'll take stars and no clouds. I like stars.

6 What inanimate object would be the most annoying if it played loud upbeat music while being used?
The potty that my in-laws got for Tanya to keep in their house plays music when one uses it. When Tanya first started using it before she was 2, that freaked her out and we turned the feature off. She recently thought it would be funny to turn it on again. But it would be annoying.

Bed would be most annoying of course.

7 Would you rather be constantly tired no matter how much you sleep or constantly hungry no matter what you eat? Assuming that there are no health problems besides the feeling of hunger and sleepiness.
I have been tired from not sleeping before and it's no fun but i would take that over feeling hungry.

8 What animal would be cutest if scaled down to the size of a cat?
giraffe

9 What habit do you have now that you wish you started much earlier?
Flossing every night. It was not a thing when I was growing up at all so I never knew how to do it properly. But with disposable ones I finally got into the habit.

10 What’s the most ridiculous creature on the planet?

11 What would be different if the 9/11 terrorist attack never occurred?
Airport security. But something else probably would have happened.

12 Would you rather have a horrible job but be able to retire in 10 years or a wonderful job but have to work until your dying day?
Can I work at my wonderful job part-time? I would probably hanker down for 10 years and then retire and travel and do something I enjoy.

13 What fashion trend makes you cringe or laugh every time you see it?
I agree with hamsterwoman. Pants that hang down and show you underwear. Why?!

14 What outdated slang do you use on a regular basis?
Cool? I don't know if it is really outdated.

15 What odd smell do you really enjoy?
Smell of baking bread is not really odd. Can't think of anything.

16 What food is delicious but a pain to eat?
Mango - it's too juicy.

17 How would your country change if everyone, regardless of age, could vote?
If more kids could vote, it might be more liberal.

18 What’s something you really resent paying for?
Fees to make sure you sit together on the airplane. Such a money grab. Fees in general for the airline or hotel etc.

19 Would you rather be unable to use search engines or unable to use social media?
Search engines are more important. I barely use social media anyway. And would LJ count in modern social media at all? I would keep the search engines.

20 What are you currently worried about?
My Mom's health - she went to a doctor yesterday because everything tastes bitter.

21 If someone narrated your life, who would you want to be the narrator?
Someone funny and British.

22 What part of a kid's film scared the life out of you as a child?
I don't think I ever got too scared by a film. I did think Jaws was scary.

23 Is a hotdog a sandwich?
No

24 Is cereal soup?
No. The solid/liquid ratio doesn't qualify.

25 Would you rather never get angry or never be envious?
Anger serves a purpose sometimes. So I would pick never be envious. Although I don't have too many envious moments.

26 Do you eat food that’s past its expiration date if it still smells and looks fine?
Yes. A lot of times expiration date is a suggestion.

27 What languages do you wish you could speak?
I want to be more fluent in French. I can read it but not speak it.

28 What’s the most pleasant sounding accent, in your opinion?
I do like some English ones.

29 What’s your “Back in my day, we…”?
Had to do research at the library; didn't connect to everyone all the time; could roam around outside by ourselves as kids.

30 Would you rather have everyone laugh at your jokes but not find anyone else’s jokes funny or have no one laugh at your jokes but you still find other people’s jokes funny?
I want to find other people's jokes funny. I don't need others to laugh at mine.
