Yesterday morning after we all got up, I made cream cheese frosting (which was a big hit to my parents) for the cranberry muffins for my Mom's birthday. It was raining all morning so Olivia was sleeping in my arms in the bedroom for her morning nap when my parents came over. Tanya was playing with Bear and didn't want to get dressed for her dance class so her loud crying woke Olivia up.after reminding her about her dance class holiday party and because I was going too, she calmed down (3 year olds are so fickle), and got dressed and so did I. We left Olivia with Bear and my Dad drove us to the dance studio and then went to my grandparents. Tanya, my Mom and I went up.

Usually it's my Mom who takes Tanya to her dance class. It was my 3rd visit. It's very cute. The girls run around before the class starts but then they do listen to the teacher (mostly). They stopped the class 10 minutes early to have a little party and do gift bag. Everyone brought a $10 present, they put all in a giant bag and then all girls pick a gift. We brought a puzzle and candy and Tanya picked out a little talking doggie. She was very happy with her toy. There were chips, and juice and donuts. All the girls were stuffing their faces with donuts and Tanya, as usual, just had a couple of chips, didn't want a donut, did take a little piece of cupcake before putting it on the floor (so I threw that out), and drank some juice. She is not a big eater. (Although she did have some corn chip with hummus today that I was eating and last week when we made baked ziti together, she actually ate some. Usually she wants her pasta plain.

After lunch and final packing we were ready to drive to Bear's parents in Long Island. We left around 2 and were there at 3 37, even with some traffic. So that wasn't bad. Christmas music was on. Bear and I could talk in the car and both girls were napping pretty much the whole way.

Evening was nice. We didn't do anything special, just hung out but it was nice. The tree and decorations make everything cozy.

Today I went for a walk with Olivia in the morning, and finished my book (The Last Horseman by Bernard Cornwell -which I loved). Tanya wanted to stay inside all day, except for 20 minutes around 6pm when we went outside to look at holiday lights. Right now Tanya is preparing milk and cookies to leave for Santa. It's funny, a few weeks ago we were playing with her dolls and I mentioned Peppa Pig, since it's one of her favorite shows. She said she didn't have those figurines. I asked her if she wanted Ded Moroz (Santa in Russia) to bring it to her New Year's morning. She said, "no, Mama. You can buy it for me in the store." Hee. So she really doesn't have a list for Santa. (I did buy her Peppa Pig figurines for New Year though).
