bearshortyYesterday was my last day of the semester. The last class was on May 2nd but yesterday I met with my Director, we did folder review and I handed in all my grades. Everyone passed (well, except one guy who only attended one class, disappeared but never officially dropped the class). I had a very happy jock in the afternoon for final office hour where students come get their folders and grades. He got a C. I also had very happy B+s and a few As. I was happy with my second class - they were the strongest class I've had in years. The first class, full of jocks, not so much, mostly for the atmosphere the concentration of jocks creates. Still, good semester.
Last week, Bear got an ear infection and ended up staying with his parents, so Tanya and I unexpectedly went to stay with mine for the week. Which meant I graded much less than I wanted to. It was rainy and gross and we spent most of the week inside, where Tanya wouldn't leave me alone long enough to do much work. One time we could go to the playground I could actually grade a few papers on a bench with my Mom there too. So that meant that once I finally got home Saturday, and Bear did too, he was on Tanya duty while I graded. I got it all done, of course, with an hour and a half to spare, and enough time to watch some Season 2 "Grace and Frankie" (Season 2 is stronger than Season 1, I feel)
Now that I'm done with the semester, I need to decompress a bit. I'm not working in the summer but I want to be productive. Read. Write. Look for a full-time job again. Catch up online. And post more. I have a few topics that I can post on, but if anyone has any questions or things they want me to talk about, please feel free to leave the question in the comments. Either real life or fan stuff. Tomorrow I'm aiming for a book post - I finished Oliver Sacks' Musicophilia today and I also read a history book about Melisende, Queen of Jerusalem in the 12th century.
