Day 23: Your life now compared to three years ago
Three years ago Bear and I just got married and got an apartment in Brooklyn. Now we have a toddler, so life is very, very different. My life very much revolves around my daughter right now. Work wise, I'm still at the same job teaching writing but three years ago I also taught two history classes, which I don't do now since it didn't pay high enough to pay for childcare. So I'm working part time now.

When I started posting I would post to my Dreamwidth and to FF.net. Then I started cross posting to LJ too. In 2012, I switched to AO3. I post there and then I make a link in my Masterpost on Dreamwidth.

Supernatural S11E1. I managed to watch the episode this morning before work during my office hours. (What grading?) I did like it overall. I appreciated that the writers are making an effort to change the dynamic and are realizing that they are recycling a lot. I like the idea of going back to the beginning with "saving people." I loved the conversation between Dean and Cas - 'are you ok' on endless loop. Sam being infected was an effective moment - I did gasp a bit and I'm wondering how they will resolve it. Crowley's orgy before murder and menopause joke were pretty hysterical. And, of course, the call out to the Cage was intriguing. I'm still waiting to see the repercussions of killing Death. One thing that bugged me was the pretty young officer - not the actress herself - she was fine - but did they have to cast out the CW casting pool (of course, they did. Her eyes were just too blue). Looking forward to the season overall. I started watching only two years ago - I watched Season 9 live while I caught up to the whole series on Netflix. Then I watched Season 10. While I like this show, I'm not super obsessed with it. And I'm not that deep in the fandom - mostly dipped some toes into fic but not a lot of it. I do like it, though.
