Day 9: What you hope your future will be like
I hope both Bear and I can get better paying jobs so we can buy our own place sooner rather than later. I hope to be useful and productive and write more. Maybe have one more kid.

9 – Pairings – For each of the fandoms from day two, what are your three favorite pairings to write?
I haven't written three pairings in each fandom, so I'll do a broad one.
Harry Potter - Remus/Sirius, Snape and Remus friendship, Lily/James
Highlander - Duncan/Methos, Duncan/Methos/Amanda, the whole gang together friendship
Torchwood - Jack/Ianto, Ianto/Lisa
Bible- no pairings really
Real Life
Work today. I handed the essays back in one section (still working on the second section) and we talked about the new reading. We are doing Wendell Berry's "God, Science and Imagination" where he pretty much says that any fundamentalism whether science or religion is ridiculous and just presents beliefs as fact and the argument between strict science and strict religion is boring since it's unprovable. The students will use Goodall and Berry for second paper.
After I got back home from work, a little late, since the subway took its sweet time and got delayed on top of that, I cooked dinner. I made chicken and Ethiopian cabbage dish, which is pretty much onion, carrot, cabbage and potatoes stir fried with lots of curry.
So a normal, not that eventful day.
Here is an article I read today in The Atlantic about how most pop hits are written by a small group of middle aged Norwegians. I knew that most pop music was canned but I wasn't aware of the extent of it. The songs are specifically designed to be hits and are often very similar to each other.
