bearshortyThe weirdest thing happened at night. I had some palpitation at night and was waking up all the time but at one point when I woke up I realized that my left hand was asleep. When I have palpitations I try to position myself so I can’t hear my heartbeat because it sounds like my heart is pausing every few beats (it doesn’t, it takes an earlier beat and the second beat takes longer), so it is very unsettling. So I probably just slept on my hand too much. But it took a bit of time for my hand to wake up and I had to wiggle it for a while. My hand hurt a bit too as the blood rushed back. I think in my sleepy state the sensations were just really weird and unusual, like it was an ‘evil hand’.
We went to Brooklyn again after a breakfast of bagels. Papa always gets fresh bagels on the weekend and I take a break from weeklong oatmeal. This time he had coupons for Dunkin’ Donuts bagels. They are much crispier and better than supermarket bagels he usually gets, but they are smaller in size. Which is probably a good thing, with a right portion. But Go Coupons! We went to visit my grandmother who is getting stronger with each day and so far is recovering nicely. Then we went to my grandparent’s apartment because Papa had to work a bit on his work laptop, while I looked at old photographs.
And then we went to Brighton Beach to buy a present for a friend and a phone card and to eat lunch at this café on top of Russian supermarket. It just felt good to get out of the house and the weather finally warmed up so we could walked around.
For the second weekend in a row I planned to hang out with Yeva afterwards, but for the second weekend in a row when I called her right before, she was off shopping. The day before she had no plans and I did say I was going to come over. I never get mad at her, though, even if I know I should at least be a bit pissed off. But she is one of my best friends and I allow a lot of stuff from people I love. Well, at least next Saturday we have nice firm sushi plans with the girls, so we’ll get to hang out then for sure.
Once I got home I went for a walk in the neighborhood with my iPod since it was warm. I haven’t done that in a while and it felt good.
