bearshortyA rainy, rainy morning was not conducive to a morning walk where Tanya could sleep for two hours. So she managed 40 minutes on my arms followed by three hours of crying on and off either because of less sleep than usual or her poor little still forming stomach. So that was a little trying. She also cried around 7. That is the worst part right now. I hate to watch her cry sometimes so much she can't draw sound. We know it is not because she is hungry or has a dirty diaper - that we can predict. We try the best we can to soothe her - -she was in my arms for all three hours and her later crying fit, but it is still hard.
Later, once the rain cleared up, Bear took her for a walk from 3pm to 5pm, so I had a chance to cook dinner since there is nothing in our fridge with us being away most of the week. I made spit pea soup with beef, eggplant stir fry and fish. Bear later made pasta as well.
I came home yesterday after a week at my parents' house to the nice surprise of a leak on the ceiling in the kitchen (thanks upstairs drunk neighbors). The super knows about it but we still don't know when it will get fixed. At least by today, the musky smell went away, so that's something.
Yesterday was 15 years since my Grandma Tanya died and also my friend's daughter's 1st birthday. A day of mixed emotions. My grandmother was one of the best people I've ever known, and I was so happy to find out I was having a girl so I could name my daughter after her. (It is still weird to type 'my daughter' It still so new).
