My days at home are pretty routine - not much is really happening. I keep reminding myself to enjoy it before the chaos starts. I usually get up around 6am - I can't really sleep well anymore and I usually go to sleep by eleven, wake up many times in the night, trying to get comfortable with my giant stomach and needing to pee all the time, and finally I just go to the living room at 6. I drink water and then my iron supplement and I spend a few hours in the morning cross stitching while watching Netflix (I'm rewatching "Brothers and Sisters" now). I'm making a little 5X7 birth announcement. I do break for breakfast once Bear gets up to go to work.
Then I either go for a little walk - I try for 30 minutes a day at least, read books and cook when I need to. I'm reading several books right now - I got an anthology of modern fairy tales from Papa for my birthday and an anthology of classic sci-fi stories from 1929 to 1964 from my parents-in-law. So I'm trying to read a story from each book a day. The sci-fi book is great but, my God, there are no women at all whatsoever in the stories - besides occasional secretaries and wives, and some of the early stories have really awkward structure. But they do have interesting premises sometimes. I also got the new J.K. Rowling detective novel "Silkworm" from my library on Kindle - so I'm reading that too.
On Wednesdays, I watch "SYTYCD" - great group of men this year. And on some Tuesdays I have to go to the doctor for prenatal check up - those Tuesdays my Mom usually comes for a day so she could go with me. Last Tuesday, the doctor gave the baby a non-stress test - she isn't even born yet and already they are measuring her stress!
My Mom and I made really tasty red bean soup this Tuesday = I did half and then she came in and finished it - I didn't included it in the Soup Project since it wasn't strictly me but I might change my mind.
I do have one dilemma - my little green iPod Nano is pretty old. I got it in 2006 and it is the 2nd generation 4GB one - practically prehistoric - but I do love it. But, it is slowly going; I could barely recharge it yesterday. So I started looking into new ones. My grandparents gave me some birthday money that I can use to buy the new iPod Nano 7th generation - either purple or pink - but I'm being hesitant about it. Just the idea of spending the money when starting next week, I won't have any income for six months is making me hesitate. But then - it is birthday money and I do use the iPod a lot. I'm very much leaning toward it so I'm going to wait a few days to not just be impulsive here.
