It was Papa's birthday two days ago and to celebrate my parents, Bear and I went to Manhattan today to walk around and enjoy all the holiday spirit. It took up a while to get there because of all the train construction but then we were off at Times Square and enjoying New York at Christmastime with all its glory and crowds of tourists. I was also breaking in my new camera, since my last one broke. So lots of pictures today.
While we stopped by McDonalds at Times Square so Mama could use the restroom, I bought Bear some hot chocolate while I got Caramel Mocha. I'm not a coffee person. I'm a tea person all the way. But on Thursday I was walking around with Valerie, the girl that I tutor in speaking English and we stopped by McDonalds and I got Peppermint Mocha on a whim (I think a character in a story I was reading was drinking it) and I really liked it. So apparently there is some type of coffee I would drink.

Our main goal for the day was to walk to Rockefeller Center to see the Tree. It's gorgeous this year all fluffy and perfect tree shape. We also walked along 5th avenue, enjoying all the window displays. And buying Lindt chocolate at the chocolate store. And then we walked along Central Park to get to Columbus Circle to get some food.

After the late lunch, we walked in Central Park - the weather was wonderful today, not too cold. And we even went on the Carousel. I think I my Dad had a great birthday celebration!

My parents went home after that, but Bear and I lingered in the city for another hour, going to FAO Schwartz store and going to see the Christmas Tree again, this time in the dark all lit up.

My legs are super tired but it was so worth it, a really fun day that puts me in a holiday spirit.
