bearshortyAfter the usual Bear work out and our Sunday grocery shopping, we had to drive to Long Island today to visit Bear’s grandmother and then Bear’s parents since today was a big birthday celebration for his Dad and sister (they have September birthdays so they usually combine parties into one).
We took my computer with us so we could show Bear’s grandma and her sister the wedding pictures. They liked that. Well, Bear’s grandmother, who is 95, was a little confused today so I’m not sure how much she will remember but, at least, at the moment she watched them, she liked it.
The party itself was small, just immediate family. There was both dinner and pizza. Bear’s parents got his sister a Kindle Fire, so it was fun to actually see what that was like. A definitely fun toy – not sure if it is worth to buy one but as a present, it is pretty good.
Oh, and my parents were in New Jersey today, looking at a furniture warehouse store and they go a sofa bed for us since the price was pretty cheap. I have no idea if it is comfortable or not, but it is pretty hard to talk them out of anything. If we hate it, they said they will take it for their computer room. So we’ll see. I’ll pay them back, of course, if it is a couch we will like. Well, we did wish about an hour earlier before my parents’ called that a couch could just magically appear.
