My high school was in the news – it is one of schools designated as a Turnaround school in Brooklyn by the Mayor of New York City. If the plan goes through, half the teachers would be replaced and the school might get a new name too. When did this happen? When I went to high school there, fourteen years ago, it was considered one of the best high schools in Brooklyn. It is sad too.
