This morning I came down for breakfast and as usual Mama had Russian tv in the background. And I ended up watching the Best Cartoon Ever - the fox in chasing the hare and then the hare strikes up a conversation while running figuring that they have been running for an hour and maybe introductions are appropriate. The fox reassures the hare that it is perfectly proper and they chat for bit while the hare is basically running for his life. At one point the fox mentions that she hasn’t eaten in a while and the hare tells her of importance of regular diet. Then, after a while when the fox gets too tired, she ends up having a bit of a mental breakdown about how she is not good enough and becomes very down on herself. The hare gives the fox a pep talk about believing in yourself (at which point I was like, hare, what are you doing, she will eat you – and this is not an American cartoon so that is a definite possibility), and the hare gets the fox to proclaim self-affirming statement after which she eats him. Only Russian cartoon! I wish I could find a copy of this!

Santorum has heard of separation of Church and State, right? It is right in the Constitution which should be the main body of ideas not the Bible. He makes me so angry. Argh.

Downton Abbey S2 Christmas Special. The proposal scene just made me smile so much. Mary does grow on you. Also Thomas, all scheming, and getting what he wants was perfect. I loved this Season and look forward to the last one.
