bearshortyToday, I just did lots of readings for my history classes from Equitano and Columbus articles and Las Casas to the Women and Gender textbook. I got to go more deeply into Columbus explorations which was fun and I liked the W&G book – I got plenty of teaching ideas for Monday. I’ll actually organize all my Monday lectures on Sunday but I do have a plan for both now.
I really do love teaching new classes because that means I learn new things and it keeps my brain working. I know I learn more than my students. It is always a challenge to design and teach new stuff, especially things I’m not as certain about, but that fear and challenge do keep things interesting.
I did take a break from all the reading to squee over Chryed a little. But this week there really wasn’t much TV. This week, I did watch a couple of small movies on Netflix which I never would have found otherwise, when I couldn’t focus on anything school related anymore. I still have Rough Drafts to mark. I think that will be Monday night and all morning Tuesday.
