bearshortyI graded 10 papers this morning, I’m almost done with these Gilgamesh papers. I also gave my Global students their third quiz on the readings and did a lecture on Islam. But in me Law class today was time for something completely different. The class was about ius commune – medieval procedure that was combination of civil and canon law. So I gave them the terminology and a handout describing the steps and then we had a mock trial, reenacting a medieval case.
HIMYM was pretty funny today with lots of parent’s appearances and Wayne Brady and really unexpected and great Weird Al cameo.
Dexter S6E4 Brother Sam and his evolving friendship with Dexter continues to be the most interesting thing this season. I also liked the police work that they were actually doing this episode despite the hilarious Battista and Quinn getting stoned. When I said there were four horses Papa immediately thought of Four Horsemen – how did the detectives not get that. And Pale horse made me think of Methos. There is a theory going around that the Professor is like Harry – in Colin Hanks’ head. It is actually pretty plausible. Loved Deb trying to get dressed up and cursing on camera.
