bearshortyI read a lot of Brundage and Stein and refreshed my memory about medieval universities. It has been a while since I looked at the details or taught it or read about it. It took me half a day to put this lecture together and read everything for it and make a Powerpoint but I’m so looking forward to it tomorrow.
We went to Brooklyn this morning to visit my grandmother at the rehab place. She still has a week or two there probably. But it is good to see she is doing better.
When I got out of the car to go get my grandfather, since we were picking him up before visiting my grandmother, the wind just plucked my green scarf and made it fly across the road. The wind was insane. I was obviously careful not to just run into the street with car for it. But one of the cars did pause to let me pass and get it. I’m glad I didn’t lose it – I love that scarf. Mama on the other hand, really doesn’t like it. Maybe the universe is agreeing with her :)
Dexter S6E3 I still don’t know where that whole thing with Colin Hanks and Edward James Olmos is going. It is very creepy and uncomfortable so far. I’m glad the show continually has Dexter ask questions about himself – in this case about his possible future. When Dexter went to pick up the prescription and buy the porn magazines (hee) I thought to myself that the guy can look in the glove compartment and see his real name and that it was silly for his to just leave the guy there. But then I dismissed the thought. Seems I was on the right trail. Dexter dumping teeth from the boat was the fitting ending and of his hero worship too. And then his slides fell and got mixed up and his order and his ideas about life are being challenged again. Not sure about the new detective yet. I’m glad Deb put him in his place and LaGuerta too. The lab girl being fascinated by the Ice Truck killer does not give me good vibes.
