Norway massacre is just horrible.

Deathly Hollows Part II reactions from someone who never read the books.

We had a few power outages today because of the heat - at 3:30 for a bit. . Then at 3:53 and from 5:50 to 6:19pm. But Internet takes longer to reset. I really hope everything will be restored by 10, since really don’t want to miss Torchwood today.

Dylan Thomas “A Child’s Christmas in Wales” I liked listening to it more than reading it since I don’t have patience for reading it – but it was a little abridged which is silly for a short story.

Finally, I got some tentative class schedule for the writing program. It is on a campus that is further away though, I’m hoping they would change it, but they probably won’t and I can’t really be too picky.

Leverage S4E4 I liked this a lot. It was nice to see the actors playing different characters and the love story was touching. And Parker and Hardison and holding hands. And it made good statements on both African American rights and women’s rights in the 40s. I liked the change in format and that it was not really a con. And I cracked up every time Eliot ran into another guy searching for the painting and of course knew him from before.

Torchwood S4E3 Poor Jack. He is great drunk and he went right for the guy who liked his coat (that pause as Jack drinks when the bartender mentions the coat – to me that certainly a Ianto reference since I think that is what Jack is thinking and why he is interested). He did have fun cruising too. And knew to use protection. And Jack always drank water before (except in alien bar which is a great touch). I liked all the British/American word translations – mostly because I know them all and can follow easily – especially pants – trousers not underwear. My Netflix Starz channel froze a bit on Jack and Gwen conversation, so I need to rewatch it. Jack is just trying so hard to regain something but Gwen has her family as her first priority. That was heartbreaking to watch. He is drunk dialing but he is trying to connect and she focuses on team and then family. And he still can’t forgive himself for Stephen. (which new viewers would not know about so they might not get that scene) Sex scene was pretty short but I liked the equal treatment in it. Jack has long term investments. Gwen has nice skills, breaking into cars, getting rid of guards, hacking. Contact lenses! Yay. And I like the issues still brought up – abortion not aborting, choking to death not murder – interesting point. And corporations, especially pharmaceuticals, are villains here. I liked that Rex is trying to contact someone else. The new team is coming together well. Bill Pullman is just so creepy here – that characters is just horrible.
