bearshortyThis was a morning of chores: bank, post office, doctor’s office. My tests were fine but I need to do more since there are still some slight white cells without an infection and the doctor just wants to rule out as much as possible.
I get a house to myself again for Fourth of July long weekend. My parents left for a mini vacation in Canada (they usually like driving somewhere for 4th of July and I sometimes come along, but not this year since I just went on vacation.)
SYTYCD Top 16 Perform
Tyce’s Broadway group – I liked it. It was fun and a great song for it. Girls are stronger this season because I actually remember most of them unlike the guys this season
Sasha/Alexander contemporary – What is it with this season and a guy dancing with a memory? But it was nice. Sasha is a beautiful dancer and conveys much.
Mitchell/Caitlynn samba - wow, those are some wonderful pants on Mitchell and I think I spent the whole dance looking at that behind. Nice. Caitlyn danced too, I guess but I was looking at those pants
Miranda/Robert Broadway - Tyce why do you need to make the girl character a whore? Was that really necessary for the concept? Even Cat commented a bit. It was nice otherwise as a dance. I probably won’t remember it but it was entertaining to watch. I like Miranda.
Melanie/Marko hip-hop – Awesome as usual. They are the number 1 couple this year. And Marko was acting his heart out and Melanie is just adorable sunshine. And the couple chemistry is lovely. I usually love NapTab choreography and this was no exception. NIGEL! Don’t just kiss a woman unsolicited! KRISTIN! What is with the kissing! And NIGEL! Going for LilC – you came a long way from cringing as same sex dancing.
Ashley/Chris jazz – they are my second favorite couple. And I did like it – especially Ashley’s leg extensions. I did like them better last week but I like them here too. I didn’t mind the music, Nigel. Ashley could win this thing, I agree with LilC that she is a ‘silent assassin”. Or she could go home this week as I can see how they can be in the bottom three.
Clarice/Jess foxtrot – I get bored watching them. I think it is time for them to go home. The dance was fine, I guess. And she is lovely but I just don’t care much for them as a couple dancing. Nigel was right to compliment the dress; it was gorgeous.
Ryan/Ricky contemporary by Sonya – I love the choreography here. Because emotionally I could feel this piece I was really into in. I want to rewatch it.
Jordan/Tadd hip-hop – Wow, NapTab – a story of a random college hook-up where you wake up next to a stranger? Not for kids. – That was funny and just so much fun! Tadd was great with his hand gestures (and putting his clothes on and taking them off) and it was the first time Jordan was actually sexy and not fake ‘sexy’. I’m going to rewatch this several times just because it was so much fun.
Second group dance – again about murderous women – I sense a theme. Melanie just draws eyes to her.
Rhode Island passes a civil-union bill – go Rhode Island.
