bearshortyGave my midterm today. During the first class I proofread more of a friend’s article and during the second class graded 10 midterms. About half are failing them since they can’t write two paragraphs for three authors in hour and a half. Which is actually a normal pattern for this class. Midterm doesn’t really count in the final grade anyway, it is more a practice for the final which they need to pass to pass the class.
I wrote my Buddhism lecture in the evening. I learned about this religion in my first college class many years ago and everything left my head. I used my old notes to refresh my memory. And I added lots of pictures from Dunhuang Mogao Caves to my Powerpoint. I loved that National Geographic article about the caves with lots of Buddhist art and I like that I can use it to teach.
I keep playing “Cabaret” soundtrack. I just have it on my iPod is continuous rotation. I just love it.
