Feb. 25th, 2011 11:00 pmBear went to work today and I worked in his house. I had a nice lunch with his mom too. Somehow in his house all my problems seem far away and it always feels like a break from my life, even when I’m working. I started the Judaism lecture for Monday.
In the evening we had our date. We went to an Indian restaurant and we had exactly 50 minutes since we were going to the theater at 8pm. But we managed just on time without rushing. I got lamb in a nice red sauce.
“Cabaret” Awesome! I can’t believe I never saw it before it was so ridiculously awesome. It is really completing with “Aida” for my favorite musical in my head. How did I not see this before! The guy who played the Emcee, Jon Peterson, was very wonderful. And that role is so crucial. He was a right mix of sexy and menacing and entertaining. And he got a stuffy Long Island man to dance with him in the audience portion of the show (this area is pretty conservatively Catholic, so this was a hoot) And the show had many cute boys and some hot boys kissing, which is always a plus. Bear and I both had such a good time (he compared Emcee to the Joker, one of his favorite characters and he, of course, did enjoy all the scantily clad girls in the show too)
