Happy Birthday, Sasha!
I actually slept in this morning in a proper vacation fashion and we had breakfast at 10am. I made scrambled eggs and a toasted bagel. (Our room has a little kitchen.)
Today was mostly a lazy day. It was cold, but we went for a walk for about an hour all bundled up. And in another the proper vacation thing, after reading my book after lunch I actually took a very long nap. It has been ages since I had a proper nap. I think I actually overslept but even that feels nice. I haven’t been sleeping well lately and I think it is finally catching up with me.
The hotel lobby is decorated for the holidays, with two Christmas trees and lots of lights. And there are fireplaces. It is the only place in the hotel with internet and it is great to just sit here and look at all the festive decorations.

We went to Montauk village for dinner, there was a pub/restaurant I wanted to try two years ago when we were here last. I had some salmon and it was pretty good. I also got a white russian (it is really funny that it is my favorite alcoholic drink since I’m from Belarus, which literarily means White Russia. I just like rum in rare instances I get alcohol.)
Golden Globe nominations came out today – I do love the awards season. I still need to see most of the movies.
