SYTYCD Top 4. I quite like this top 4. The finale this year is Top 3 so there is still another week.
Kent and Neil’s dance about end of friendship by Travis Wall was really well done by everyone involved. It is really two boys breaking up dance, but only PC for TV. A lot of emotion there.
Lauren and Pasha tango was really steamy. Even Nigel admired Pasha in a way that Nigel never ever admits.
Robert and Dominic as sad clowns was really good too as I really don’t see Robert as a hip-hop guy. But he pulled it off rather well.
Other dances were not really that memorable to me.
Highlander “The Lamb” “Obsession” and “Shadow.”
I really liked “Shadow” because it put Duncan is such an interesting psychological state. He didn’t know what to believe and was fighting ghosts. And he gets really cranky. There is also some foreshadowing in here as Mac thinks he is fighting a monster and is really fighting Richie instead. And that conversation between them. Having a Quickening in one’s apartment is really not fun as you know you have to do the clean up. I’m glad Anne did call him on his shit a bit but I wish they stayed broken up.
The other two episodes were ok. “The Lamb” does present a good point on how Kenny was just doing what he had to in order to survive and it doesn’t make him necessarily evil, although it does make him a jerk. And “Obsession” is not that interesting.
Prop 8 overturned today by a judge in California. Yay. I don’t know if this will hold, but it is something.
