I bought a film camera today. I really didn’t want to think about it too much and Amazon had a really good price on a Nikon so I just bought one. It’s red. I don’t know why I keep buying red things. Blue is more my favorite color but my iPod is green and my wallet, purse and cell phone are red. And now I will have a red camera in a red camera bag. I’m accessorizing!
I officially finished the travel/butterfly cross-stitch.
Highlander S2E12 “Under Color of Authority” Aw. Poor Duncan and Richie at the end of the episode. I really like Duncan and Richie’ relationship. That is so father/son. And Duncan actually cried when he has to tell Richie to leave. It is nice to see men have emotions and still be seen as manly. The whole episode is all about a parent letting his child make his own mistakes and figure out the world. And letting him go. And he still helps like by giving Richie car keys but he doesn’t make decisions for him. I do miss Richie’s presence this season, he was already in way too few episodes. And Richie definitely changed after his death, he is not so carefree. His first Quickening. And the realization what being Immortal really means – as in killing everyone eventually. The boy had to grow. I appreciate the ambivalent morality that the last couple of episodes are raising.
I still crack up every time the characters pull out their swords out of thin air. There is no way they could have hidden it in their suits or whatever. It is like that cell phone that Buffy supposedly takes out of her pants.
True Blood. S3E5 This season continues to be awesome. I was laughing a lot. From Russell pointing to himself “King!” to general crackiness of plotlines. Franklin and Tara story should be disturbing on so many levels as he is a total phycho who picked Tara because she is the only person as messed up as him but both play their roles the way that makes me giggle constantly. Supertexting! Jessica glamouring a couple not to give Arlene tips was cute. Terry being so happy that he gets a normal life is heartwarming. Discovering why Eric hates the werewolves and his personal vendetta is also cool. He was a King too. Sam’s story is OK. Lafayette and Jesus and Jason and Crystal are just cuteness. Jason being bored in his office also funny. This show is firing this season.
