Today I got to tutor the Kid in fractions. She was actually paying attention really well, but some concepts are still a bit beyond her. I made her draw a pizza and then cut it into slices and she seemed to like that. Also using candy as props works too. I think she needs to memorize the multiplication table some more and that will help with fractions too. She knows it, but mostly by counting in her head. We actually spend a lot of time on fractions before she got tired. I felt useful.
