This morning we did some donating for Haiti, I just feel so horrible watching that footage and wish I could do something more. Mama and Papa gave to American Red Cross . I decided on Action Against Hunger since more water is needed and they have teams on the ground.
ITunes U has a free course from Yale University on “Introduction to Ancient Greek History” among other courses in History, Literature, Religion and Science from various universities. All this sounds very tempting. I do miss learning new things.
Bones S5E11. Good episode, a homage to X-Files. I did like the ringtone with the X-Files theme music taking us to the credits. I never watched X-Files, for pretty much the same reason I don’t watch Supernatural or Fringe – I don’t like that kind of horror or alien creepiness cases, but I get the parallels from just absorbing pop culture. I really liked Booth in casual wear, the MRIing of the corpse and Bones/Booth banter, and the local sheriff who was pretty smart. The B-plot with Angela and Wendell and Hodgins wasn’t was interesting. Poor Hodgins. Angela kind of grates lately, although I still think the whole Angela/Hodgins breakup was stupid in the first place and clearly just written in out of thin air. But Wendell is a good guy, even if he is young for her and at least he wanted to do a decent thing and tell Hodgins. Still poor Hodgins, all sad. Good episode, not great. Next week with the whole JFK conspiracy thing looks like a disaster. I like conspiracies even less than horror.
