I have a couple open links that I wanted to share for a few days. It's been so long since I linked anything, I just had to do a refresher on html linking.
1. Atheists talk about the Meaning of Life
I really like this article since that is how I feel about the universe and meaning of life. I don't believe in the afterlife nor do I contemplate about meaning of life much. But I certainly believe that you don't need a religion to find meaning and miracles in the universe. It is actually a quote from Angel, which for Joss Weadon represented his existentialism, that resonates with me and relates to most of these opinions: "If nothing we do matters, then all that matters is what we do".
2. 10 books in sci-fi and fantasy you pretend to have read and why you should actually read them
My Dad sent me this list. I read three books on this list: Dune, 1984 and Foundation. I really liked 1984 (although I read it as a teenager and should probably reread it), Foundation was ok, and I can't stand Dune. I finished Dune but it really frustrated me. And I tried watching the TV series and just couldn't do it.
3. 11 psychological tricks to get people to do what you want
I knew some of these but not all. I'm not sure if a person can consciously and not awkwardly copy body language but the tip itself is interesting.
