Feb. 17th, 2015 05:42 pmLast night after I put Tanya to bed at 7:30, I just got in bed too and went to sleep. I was so exhausted especially since the night before I got less than 5 hours because Tanya had a bad night. And while I still had to get up a few times to feed her, and its not like I slept easily the whole tI'm until 6:30am, I still felt very rested this morning, with those extra few hours.
Back to grading today. As of now 19 papers left, and I only need to do 17 by Thursday, since I know two of my students will be absent. So I want to do 6 more today, 10 tomorrow and 1 on Thursday morning.
I did manage to catch up to 'Downton Abbey ' which check aired on Sunday. And tomorrow I will probably watch the new'Supernatural' as a grading break. But lately at lunch I started watching 'Spartacus' on Netflix. I tried it years ago when it first came out but I think I went into it with a wrong mindset so I didn't get past 20 minutes. Now I'm much more relaxed about it, have low expectation and mostly I'm just enjoying the scenery. And Lucy Lawless.
For over a decade now or so, Bear has been taking me to see a Broadway show as a birthday present. I usually pick the show and he likes not having to think about what to get me. We saw Wicked. Avenue Q, Spamelot, Lion King, Once, Anything Goes, Book of Mormon, and a few others, I think. Last year, for me it was a choice between Hedwig and If/then with Idina Menzel. I picked If/Then and we really enjoyed it. Bear was asking me only a few days ago if I wanted to go this year again and what did I want to see.
Well, through my Glee Tumblr blogs today I caught the announcement that Darren Criss will be Hedwig from end of April to July (my birthday is in June). I think the universe is telling me something. I have such a teenage crush on Darren Criss, which Bear finds amusing. So I think I have my Broadway show.
