I had a whole bunch of little chores to do, like write a rent check and mail it, deposit checks in bank, fill out the lease for next year, go grocery shopping with Bear, finish emails to students who wanted to know their final exam grades, check on iron supplement prescription, write thank you emails. Just a bunch of little things. And I did do a lot - I even made a list. I was definitely tired by dinner time and didn't go to Yeva's like I planned. But Bear was home yesterday since he worked Wed to Mon last week, so it did end up feeling my a weekend and a pretty nice one overall.

I started reading the latest Dresden Files book - but because I hate the villain in the book with a passion I'm not in a big hurry to actually read it, despite waiting a year and half for this next installment.

The biggest hassle today is needing to straighten out not my mistake. When I was writing out the rent check, the stub they leave under the door showed that I didn't pay May's rent. I did pay May's rent at the end of April and I double checked my bank account online and the check clearly went through on May 5th. So now I need to call the management office and sort it. And the management office number changed - Bear talked to the Super in the evening to get a new one. I really don't like hassle that is not really of my own making.

I got a lot of little chores done in the morning and was mostly lazy in the afternoon. I wrote and mailed a card for my mother-in-law's birthday, sent an e-card to little Galya who turned 3, took a long walk to get bisquick and cheese for zucchini pie I want to make this week, got lots of fruit too - I love the summer fruit, called the apartment management office to find out that I didn't have to worry about double rent mistake - it was their fault for closing the month earlier than most people send checks in, etc. So just lots of little chores.

I did make chicken fingers based on Bisquick recipe on the box and watched more SYTYCD auditions in the evening. And I skimmed the Dresden Files book to make me read it faster to get to those scenes between character I want to read closely. So pretty boring day, but that is a good thing.

I did sign up for Remus/Sirius Games on LJ for the fourth year in a row a week or so ago, and today teams were announced. I'm on Team Magic. I do really enjoy this fest and all the people who participate in it - at the end there is much high quality fanfic. Can't wait for prompts on Friday.
