Sep. 17th, 2012 09:39 pmI think I’m going to like Mondays. The weekends are actually restful enough so I’m ready for the commute again and I get back from Local College by 4 or 4:30, depending on traffic/subway and it is Bear’s day off work so he likes to cook me dinner. Usually he cleans too but he had to go to an eye doctor today after he lost peripheral vision in his left eye for ten minutes yesterday, so he was home a bit later.
I normally hate washing the floors. It is my least favorite chore. But as I came home, Bear was sweeping so I got the bucket so we could clean faster and together. And I didn’t mind it at all! A bit weird too. But also my parents were coming over to drop off some things – they went apple picking yesterday and they wanted to bring the apples, and, of course, that was one thing they forgot. But with my Mom coming over, I wanted the apartment to look neat.
And Bear cooked dinner. He made baked salmon with vegetable stir fry of onion, red and yellow pepper and green zucchini. It was the first time he made the salmon and it was delicious.
Workwise, I wrote the Paper 1 Assignment question on Herodotus this morning and ran it by another professor to make sure it made sense. I also made a copy of a good In-class Exercise essay, so the students know what is expected of them. Overall, I definitely like my Law class a lot more – the lectures seem to click more. Today we were doing Judeo-Christian laws, which is perfect for the New Year. My Global class lacks something – I need to revamp my lectures a little. It just needs more.
