May. 12th, 2012 11:00 pmToday was so nice and warm outside – it was pretty much summer. I just loved that. I can’t wait to break out all my summer tank tops and shorts and not wear socks.
Bear came over after work today so we could go see “The Avengers.” The movie theater was pretty full for an afternoon showing which was great for some scenes where everyone was clapping all together but we also had to contend with this woman who brought her little kids with her. And by little kids, I mean little. Three years old. To this kind of movie. Where the kid was pretty bored and talking and babbling and annoying the shit out of everyone. Finally, maybe half way through the movie, the guy sitting in a group next to us, one seat away from me and directly behind the kid, told the kid to be quiet in a non-yelling but firm voice (which is what all of us wanted to say). As the kid’s mother was, of course, immediately incensed that someone would address her kid to tell him how to behave. She was like, “He is three years old.” Like that is all the excuse we should all indulge. At this point, I could not hold it in so I said, “Three years olds should not be here for this movie.” She was all huffy but then a minute later, she actually took her kids and left to our giant relief. After the movie was over, the guy next to us thanked me for backing him up and I thanked him back for saying something in the first place.
( Spoilery thoughts on Avengers )
After the movie we went to the Indian restaurant. They finished renovating and the new look is great – very slick and modern. But, of course, we come there for the delicious food and their amazing rice.
