I know that today is a Superbowl. One cannot avoid it. And technically a New York team is playing and I do want them to win. (And they did, yay). But since I have no interest in the sport, I pretty much ignore it. I do watch the ads on Hulu, though. Last year I could vote normally there if I liked the ad, but this year you need Facebook (which I don’t have and don’t want).

My impressions of Superbowl ads: )

I still have a cold, argh. And now as per schedule my nose is runny. I still can’t project my voice which should make lecturing interesting tomorrow. We’ll see what happens.

I did leave the house thought, since I had to go do my taxes. I do like going to an accountant and just taking care of it. I have to pay a lot this year since I didn’t pay much of federal tax during the year. It’s annoying but what can you do. At least it’s done.

I wrote my Transatlantic Slave Trade lecture today with Powerpoint. I’m also focusing a bit more on Africa before Europeans came to give a sense of the variety of cultures in Africa and participation in global trade before the Portuguese.
