Jan. 28th, 2012 11:00 pmI was reading Women & Gender history textbook all morning – more on Greek women and Roman too. I think I know how I will organize my lecture – around Master Narrative and how gender can fit into in. I also made the Map Quiz review sheet with help from Excel – it alphabetizes for me.
But the main focus of the day was on the visit of Bear’s parents. They came over today to have food with my parents and to talk a little bit about the wedding. Mama made pretty much a holiday table with lots and lots of great food. We also went for a little walk along the beach too. I think Bear’s Mom was a bit surprised to find out that we want a small wedding – maybe she was expecting more. But Bear being a guy didn’t really mention much before. But overall, I think the whole parental meeting went pretty well. Bear and I even left four of them alone for a while as we walked along the beach. The only bad thing was that Bear had to leave early to drive them home.
