Jun. 5th, 2011 09:44 pmI’m so tired this evening either from the weather or all the traveling today. I’m trying to stay awake until 10 and then I will just go to sleep. I have a slight migraine too. Hopefully I’ll have energy tomorrow.
It was actually a good day. Early in the morning Papa and I went to Brooklyn to visit my grandparents and exchange presents with my Grandfather. Well, I got money and he got books.
Then I took a train to the city to visit with Marianna and meet Galya. I got her flowers and then I hung out with her and Adama (her husband) for about four hours. Galya was very hungry today and kept wanting to eat. I’ve never really been around a newborn before so it was actually interesting to see how hospitals monitor babies and what kinds of things they teach in these first few days. At one point got really fussy and the nurse on the floor showed us how to wrap her to calm her down and settle her to sleep. It was magic.
On the way home I got a chicken fajita panini and when I sat to eat it on the subway I saw there were chips too. It might have been traveling back that so exhausted me despite the food. But it was worth it.
