Sep. 13th, 2010 09:44 pmI spent most of the day avoiding reading rough drafts. I couldn’t ignore them forever, I need to return them to students tomorrow, but I did try. I don’t know what is worse: broad generalization or the inability to have a thesis statement. Apparently, religion and science should not mix, according to one student, because it would disrupt the balance between the two and lead to general confusion and war. (Also, science and religion have been in conflict since the beginning of time.)
I discovered that having classical music in the background helps with my sanity as I read these.
Our neighbor (Mama’s friend) came over to show us the wedding video of her daughter. I knew her since she was thirteen (she is five years younger) and it was fun to watch the video. She dated her husband since high school. Her dress was gorgeous. They came up with a good small wedding for not too much money and it looked wonderful.
