Jul. 24th, 2010 11:00 pmWe went to Brooklyn this morning to visit my grandparents and then we stopped by the library so that I could pick up the New Hampshire guidebook and a book I had on hold, which I don’t think I’m going to read. It is a non-fiction book on how experts don’t know anything and I think I’ll just skim it.
Papa and I tried watching “Dune” the miniseries and discovered after ten minutes that it was the most boring thing ever. So we both decided not to waste our time. I didn’t like the book too much and this slow TV pace did not make it more exiting. I watched “Highlander” instead.
Highlander “Vampire” “Warmonger” “Legacy”
Again, pretty ordinary episodes that drag in some places and have nice scenes in between. I like the start of Duncan and Joe friendship in “Vampire” since Mac invites Joe for a drink. And “Legacy” has the great flashback about Rebecca and Amanda. But otherwise, the episodes were not too special. And Mac is such a slut sometimes, did he really need to sleep with that reporter in “Warmonger.” There is a nice ethical dilemma in the later about oath and pride and justice. This show is really good at ethical dilemmas, which makes it interesting.
