Feb. 15th, 2010 11:00 pmPresident’s day – another inexplicable holiday that just meant that everyone is home today and I get to hear Olympics in the background all day.
There was come cross-country skiing in the afternoon that I watched during lunch – finally great detailed coverage mostly of athletes from other countries with good detailed commentary. I do like cross-country skiing – I used to go outside to ski when I was little and I hated hills but I loved just to ski a little bit. This is one sport I actually kind of done. (Although I always prefer sledding – that was my all-time favorite winter activity).
Pairs long-program in the evening. I was so nervous for Zhao/Shen when they skated and so happy for them when they won. When the commentator let out that gasp when the girl almost fell on the lift I think I jumped out of my skin a bit. I almost could not watch them. But great program and a well deserved win.
