bearshortyBecause of our guests, Mama drove me into work this morning. Usually, on Fridays I commute with Papa which I look forward too. At least he still picked me up and we listened to some Russian rock.
Today was very cold in the morning – wintery weather. We are expecting snow tomorrow, which for October just feels so very wrong. I took out my warmer November coat and gloves and hat and it is just too early for all that.
Discussion of the Slater reading went well in my writing classes, better in the second one. I gave them a handout to track all the opinions present in the essay. So the day was pretty easy.
Since I’m reading “The Hobbit” which is definitely better than I remember and much creepier too, I wanted to watch a few Gollum scenes from the LotR movies. And I ended up watching the first half of the “Fellowship.” I have the extended edition and I think I will just slowly rewatch it since it has been awhile. And they are making me really excited for the “Hobbit” movie.
I do like having guests in the house, even if they came to New York for not the best reason. I spent a few hours in the kitchen with them and my parents just chatting. It was nice to socialize.
