bearshortyI had the TV in the background all morning listening to the list of names. I think people need to be remembered and just the long list of names underscores this tragedy.
I went to the story to buy “oreo’ cookies for my writing class demonstration on Tuesday (an oreo cookie = paragraph). I did buy the generic version of the cookies since they were a whole two dollar cheaper.
There is a drawback to electronic books, especially in using Kindle. For my class tomorrow, we are reading an excerpt from Cicero’s “On Laws.” While I can get the Latin version online pretty easily there was only one copy of the English version in one of the free online databases. And I followed Kindle instructions on how to download it to Kindle. And it did work. The problem is the book is about 500 pages and “On Laws” was on page 390. Kindle doesn’t copy the page numbers, I can’t exactly jump there nor can I easily skip to the place I want. So the technology needs to catch up on having searchable free e-books.
True Blood S4E12 Eric and Bill killing Nan was all badass. I wasn’t expecting it. No, not puppy dogs. I can’t believe they actually killed Tara. I was expecting Sookie to shoot Debbie since that is in the books but that Debbie would kill Tara was unexpected. I’m not that sad about it, I think Tara’s character was drifting for a while. I was really sad and teary about Jesus. And poor Lafayette. At least, I’m glad that Lafayette can summon him whenever he wants but still they just lost that happiness – they only had a year together. Their goodbye was very very sad. Next season – yay, Russell. I knew Sookie would chose none of the boys and be Kelly Taylor as soon as Adele (yay, Adele is awesome) said to look in the heart for the right answer. Don’t care about Sam set up. Steven Newlin as a vampire is going to be hysterical. Andy’s speech to Holly was all kinds of wonderful. Scott Foley is coming in – we are getting a Terry storyline and Rene is trying to make it creepy. Arlene’s girl dressing up as a teen mom was all sorts of amusing. Jessica looked amazing in that Red Riding hood outfit. Jason always tries to do the right thing – I give him point in telling Hoyt and it was in character too. I also cracked up from Hoyt’s Mom telling Sam to call her Mama – the look on Sam’s face. Overall, I liked this season. It did book 4 justice. I think Season 3 is still my favorite but this one was better than second season storyline. It still remains my favorite show currently on TV.
