bearshortyToday is Papa’s 53rd birthday. I left his presents on the kitchen table last night so he can see them first thing in the morning. He liked them. I also pulled his ears 54 times in a fine Russian tradition.
Since I got some sleep last night I actually woke up at 6:30 with no problem. At school I picked the final reading, printed everything I needed and even managed to watch last night’s episode of “Brothers and Sisters” on Hulu. I then went to buy a nice bagel at Dunkin Donuts. One student actually came to office hours in the morning. Today was an easy teaching day because they were just basically turning in their Paper 5 and doing evaluations. I actually did more with a second class. I also cut out early from my afternoon office hours since I knew no one will show up. I was going to meet with Yeva but that got cancelled and I was actually happy to go home since I still feel off from my allergies/cold thing. My throat is a bit irritated, it is just a bit annoying.
In the evening we had a nice small birthday dinner with food Mama bought in Russian store. We even had a bit of Napoleon cake.
