Highlander S6 E11-13 I used this morning’s time change to watch more Highlander and I ended up finishing the series. Now that is more like it. Have some main characters and the episodes work much better. Methos and Joe show, they should have had more episodes of them together. The banter and the arguing were wonderful. And Methos’ really cool and collected way of taking out the two goons. Mac really thinks a lot of himself to imagine the world that is so radically different. It was fun to watch and it was wonderful to see Tessa and Fitz but I don’t want to think too deeply into the story or to deconstruct it. The last montage was just lovely though. This was one great show and I’m so glad I finally watched it. I loved all the characters and most of the storylines and I really love the fanfic too. Now I just have to watch “Endgame.” I think I will skip “The Source” I need to rewatch “Reunion” too, but that is online.
Grading today so TV served the needed break in grading. I need to return Paper 3 to the students on Tuesday. Bah.
I also took a break to order Papa some birthday presents from Amazon. I wish I had the money to get him a Kindle, since I know he really wants one. He had a really hard year with his mother's open-heart surgery and his own thyroid cancer and all (although technically, he had it for years and just didn't know it) and I wish I could get him something to really make him happy. I hope he will like the stuff I got him.
Dexter S5E7 Someone on the Television Without Pity forums called the plot twist of the guy with the tapes last week or so. So that was fun to watch unfold. Still surprising in awesomeness. I do like when big cases Dexter is working on the police is also investigating and Dexter needs to be one step ahead. The nanny still creeps me out for some reason. Dexter’s ‘it is just like prom’ line was great. I’m still not feeling Quinn and Deb, mostly because he just dated the daughter of the Trinity killed who show Deb’s love. That is just twisted.
“Brothers and Sisters” S5E7 The Kevin/Scotty storyline was resolved a little too fast there. I’m glad they are back together but maybe they could have worked on it for a few more weeks. Nora and Carl awkwardness was just too cute. Sibling interactions and family interaction always feel so authentic on this show – Sara and Kitty really bickered like sisters.
