Weather continues to be gloomy. I’m a bit melancholy today, maybe because of it. Also it has been a while since I was home by myself. I no longer have anxiety issues of three years ago and I do look forward to the next two weeks alone in the house but it is just weird. Bear left around 3 today and he will be back here in a week. So it is just me and dissertation. And I need to finish my cross stitching. I just could not get into it today.

Avatar Season 2 I didn’t want Katara to heal Zuko’s scar although I realize it was very symbolic since it was inflicted by his father. I just think he should always have it. So I’m glad she used that water on Aang. That was a very depressing place to leave the season with the fall of the Earth kingdom and Zuko allied with his sister. Overall, I do like this show even if I got into the season about half way through. I do like the serialized nature of storytelling and very realistic consequences for the most part. And Zuko continues to be the most interesting plotline.

House S7E23 House had some great season finales and this was pretty average and a bit strange. I figured out he would drive the car into Cuddy’s house as soon as he saw the window. I wish Cuddy would get a better sendoff not that the writers knew she would be leaving. But no wonder she would move far from House after this – that relationship cannot be salvaged after that in any way. Although their talk after cafeteria lunch was the first time both behaved as adults and I liked that conversation but now there really isn’t hope. I did like him on the beach at the end. It was good to see PotW being relevant to House’ internal stuff like this show used to do. And I laughed that Rachel is pregnant too, although she never wanted kids and that plotline of ‘women who don’t want kids and once they get pregnant it is the best thing ever’ is irritating. Show, do you really need to resort to soap opera clichés?

I watched the fourth episode of “Borgias” with dinner. That show continues to be awesome. I like it a lot.

Best of luck with the dissertation!

I haven't watched the House finale yet, but I saw the tv spots for it and wondered how it was all going to pan out. Hmmm...
