Belarus got two medals! One silver and one bronze for biathlon. That is very cool. (I usually root for US, Belarus and Russia in that order, although sometimes there are variations – like the Chinese team in pair figure skating)

Ice-dancing compulsory. I did like the tango music but I hoped more would treat it as a tango and look each other in the eye. The Russian pair that was in first place after the compulsory did an excellent job at actual tango, they oozed sex appeal and they danced with speed and precision. Others were OK but the judging was actually right on the money to my untrained eye. Brother/sister British pair was just uncomfortable to watch since they had to dance a tango and pretend to be into each other. Why are there so many sibling pairs in ice-dancing? According to some articles there are four. American girls both have really squeaky voices.

Finally after years of paperwork hiding in obscurity in my books, I filled out the claims form from class action lawsuit against BA and Virgin Atlantic for conspiracy to hike up fuel changes from 2004 to 2006. As I flew to England a few times in 2005 I got a claim form awhile ago but was putting it off and I relegated it to one of my history books. I found the claim form today when I took that book out and I realized I could just do that online. Luckily the deadline is not until 2012 so maybe I’ll get a few bucks from this. We’ll see.

Looking at network intel on the TV pilots for next year, there will be absolutely nothing intriguing. The networks are mostly ordering procedurals with cops, lawyers and doctors. Nothing at all stands out, especially in drama. Which is probably the good thing since I really don’t need any new TV shows to watch, and I can catch up with some old ones on DVD.
