Royal Wedding Day! The hats were so much fun to watch. The dress was gorgeous. Really beautiful. Nice ceremony too. The carriage was just very princessy. I’m a historian of medieval England and I can name all the English kings in order, so, of course, I know a lot about the history of the royal family. This wedding was very interesting to me. I didn’t get up early to watch it but I did look at excerpts of coverage once I got up. When Mama came home after noon, we saw BBC America rebroadcast of it. I like all the traditional vows and the trees at Westminster Abbey.

It always amazes me that you can tell a student the same information many times and they still act like they never heard it before. I gave a handout and posted on website for class when students can pick up their folder next week if they miss the final office hour. I still got two emails about it. Frelling read!

Game of Thrones S1E2 Still not feeling it. I’m almost bored by it. I like the mother fighting off the assassin and I like the little girl and John Snow but I don’t care about other plots too much. They do kill kids on this show – that was brutal tidbit. The wolfs are adorable. I’ll give it a few more episodes since one of the actors I like is coming up in the next episode but I’m not sure if this show will get a full season from me. How can Bran be in a coma for more than a month with no feeding tubes? It kept bugging me.

Avatar S1E13 The Blue Spirit. I watched it last night, too late to comment but this has been my favorite episode so far. I didn’t even realize it was Zuko in the mask, although that should have been obvious. And Aang’s comments on friendship to Zuko at the end just killed me. I think this is the episode for me where I’m really starting to get into the show and want to watch more and finish not just Season 1 but other seasons as well.

DW Questions:

How about when you’re not on the computer?

I’m on the computer most of the time lately. When I’m not, I cross-stitch, watch TV, read, teach and grade lots of papers. Now that the weather is better, I will start roller-blading again.

What do you wish people who read your journal know about you?

Nothing really comes to mind. Since my journal is about my days, I feel I put most of what I want people to know in it already.
