I do like knowing that I'm past most of the mafia-heavy books! I do find the books more interesting as I go along, mostly because my brain is more set on the worldbuilding and I can understand the world more.

I liked Ann Leckie's short stories about the Raven Tower universe more than the book. I thought the stories really had good variety to them but also played with the concept of gods really well.

I am very much looking forward to more Penric books next year. And I recently saw there was a new one this year so I need to figure out where that goes on my to read list.
